How it works

Don't expect dry academic lectures from me. In my talks I combine my skills as an actor, magician, and teacher to bring the audience along, surprise them, and entertain them.

We settle on the theme of the talk together. Whether you're after an introduction to practical-philosophical dialogue techniques, Socratic teaching methods, or a particular theme within theoretical philosophy: together we'll make sure your audience leaves both entertained and inspired.

Asking good questions

"Anyone can ask a question, right?" If that's what you think, this is the talk for you — because a question like that is exactly what brings a conversation to a halt. Together we explore practical-philosophical and Socratic dialogue techniques, for better conversations with more depth.

Teaching the Socratic way

Did you know Socrates disliked books? You learn by asking questions, not by reading. In this talk we look at how to make more room for Socrates in your classroom — the art of staying silent and asking questions in order to get students to think for themselves and gain confidence in doing so.

What's wrong with conspiracy theories?

Conspiracy theories are nothing new. But more than usual, in recent years they've had a noticeable effect on our everyday lives. Is that a problem? And why exactly? A philosophical journey through the world of conspiracy theories yields surprising insights that help us deal with this alienating but wildly interesting phenomenon.
